Looking for further information on the CARR China Co located in
Grafton, WVa in the 1900's. Believed to have ceased operations in the 1950's,
known to be in production in the 1940's. Interested in the founders of
the company, owners, more exact location, etc. Also searching for further
information on one Daniel CARR , son-in-law of James HADSELL
.
Daniel was taken captive by the Indians 30 Jun 1778 in a prelude to the
Wyoming Valley (PA) massacre. Known to still be in captivity 15 Jul 1778.
Escaped, released or traded after that date as he and his wife, Amy/Rachel
HADSELL , had a son, Daniel(2) CARR born 1895. Amy/Rachel
rumored to be about to remarry when Daniel(1) reappeared from captivity.
Especially interested in Daniel(1) CARR 's parents, birthplace,
origins, etc. but any information gratefully received.

MCDANIEL posted by Kathleen

Does anyone know this family? In the 1870 Taylor Co. census is the family
of Nathan McDANIEL age 25, so born 1845; with wife Mary, and children
Theodore and Missouri. Also in the household is a Jeremiah McDaniel, age
65, so born 1805 in Penn. I suspect I have this line back for several generations,
but need to confer with someone directly knowledgeable about the family.

Recent research in Taylor Co. found the death dates for this couple: Perry
G. Sanders died in 1924, and his wife Bathsheba Tucker Sanders died in
1922. Both are buried in Lawler Cemetery. Does anyone have their full death
dates as I would like to read their obituaries??
