POE , James born about 1850 in VA. May have been the son of William B. POE of Taylor Co., WV. Found in the 1870 WV census living in Lincoln Co.,WV with wife Elmira MAY (d/o Jacob W. May & Clarinda A. Huff May) and their first son William. Any help or information greatly appreciated. Lost relative's very welcome!

I am looking for infomation on the children of John J. KERNS b. 1778 d. ca 1849 and his wife Elizabeth TONGHAM or TOOTHMAN (not sure which it is). They were married about 1800. Jacob supposedly had 17 children. One was Aaron, one Jacob Staley, one Minerva. Jacob Staley Kerns (d. 1 Jan 1935 while living with his son Thomas A. Kerns) m. Sarah Ellen Shahan. I would like to find documentation of the children. Jacob was born in Taylor Co. but was living in Marion Co. at the time of his death. He spent most of his life in Taylor Co. I have John J. as a son of Michael KERNS b. 1740 Holland m1. Susannah Wetherholt/Wetherhold m2. Barbara Riffle or Riddle. Michael was a Rev. War soldier and I have been told he did a lot of wonderful things in the district of Augustus and Monongalia. I would like to find proof of these children. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Does anyone know if this might be in the Monongalia Story volumes and if so which of 9 volumes would be in? Does anyone know of a will, etc. that would give me these children's names? I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Please e-mail me direct.

My gggggrandfather Patrick LOUGHRY married Catherine HICKMAN probably in the 1780's. They resided in Taylor County. Does anyone have info on them. Also, I am interested in finding out who the parents of John (Jehu/Tehue) LIPSCOMB , b.1827 were. He married a Lucinda DAVIS .

Looking for information on the McCROBIE family from the Grafton area. John Michael McCROBIE , dates unknown, wife unknown, had daughter Dorothy b. 07/17/06 Grafton, d. 1990 Raleigh County, m. Benjamin GUY Jr. Dorothy and a brother were fostered out to a Stover family. Believe there are other siblings. Any & all information greatly appreciated.

Seeking information of Joshua Owen ROBINSON , born in England on 29 June, 1786 and died in Taylor Co, 5 March, 1858. Parents names are unknown to me. He married Eleanor MITCHELL , on 11 Nov, 1817, location unknown. Children include: Rebecca, b.7 Nov, 1818; James M., b. 17 Sept, 1829; Sarah Jane, born 10 or 13 Dec, 1822; Emily, born 14 Oct, 1825, Ella (Ellen), born 17 or 19, 1828; John A., b. 18 Nov, 1839; Thomas N., b. 25 May, 1833; William J. b. 23 Mar, 1836; Helen M., b. 21 May, 1839 and Ester or Eyester, b. 3 Feb, 1844. Robinson was known by his second name (Owen) and became a land owner and minor county official. I would be happy to share information. Thank you.

Corborn R. HOLBERT was born Dec 19, 1898 to Franklin N and Sarah Alice Bollinger HOLBERT . I believe he was married to Clara. Corborn died November 1975, Clara in January 1989. Does anyone know of the family? Did they have children? Where are they buried? Did Franklin and Sarah Alice also die in Taylor Co. I have no idea. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Looking for descendants of Ferdinend (Frank) GUTH and Cathrine ARNS . 1880 census indicates they were living in Preston County with father in law (Garrett Arns). Ferdinend age 35, Cathrine 33, Mary A. 10, Garrett L. 8, Clemens L. 6, William H. 4 ,Catharine A. 3, John E. 8 months Other children born later: Joseph B. & James L. Family records and newspaper articles indicate they lived in Grafton for years. Cathrine & Ferdinend died there. At the time of the Cathrine's funeral possibly 1920's. Children living in Grafton were: Mrs. A. E. Gilmore, Mrs. Ed. Rauscher, John E. Guth, Joseph B. Guth and James L. Guth. Other children Mrs. George Walters, of Fairmont, G.A. Guth, of Bridgeport, Ohio, C.N. Guth of Akron, Ohio and W.H. Guth of St, Marys. Cathrine is a sister of my gGrandmother Sarah Arns Barlow. Would love to contact my relatives and exchange information. I have a picture of family reunion taken around 1913.

Looking for information on Hamilton Creed BARTLETT and his family. Born abt.1866, son of Hamilton Goss BARTLETT and Catherine McKinney BARTLETT . He married Victoria Yowell on Jan.16, 1890. He had a farm of 61 acres in Pleasant Creek. Family moved to Clarksburg in early 1900's. Hamilton disappeared around 1913, whereabouts unknown? Date of Death? Also interested in his whereabouts of their farm? Was in W.Va. recently, interested in knowing who lives or lived down Bartletts Run on Lower Pleasant Creek Road. Referred to by locals as C. Bartlett Hollow Road. In addition, heading toward Grafton on Rte.119, you come to an intersection and turn left onto Rte. 250. At the crest of the hill, there is a sign pointing to Bartlett Road. Was there another Bartlett that might have lived down this road? There appears to be an old farmhouse still standing. Does anyone know lives or has lived there? I am also interested in the Upper Pleasant Creek graveyard. It is on land once part of the Benjamin B. Bartlett farm. Who owned this land or lived here before ? Last, but not least, if anyone knows any information on the BARTLETT family from this area, I would appreciate sharing information.

I am trying to find any information on William DEMOSS b 24 Apr 1897, d May 1970 in Bluefield, WV. I know he was married to Mildred Leona ROBERTS b 21 May 1898 Hazzard Pa, d 2 Jul 1978 in Coshocton, Ohio and they had a daughter, June Elizabeth b 30 Aug 1920 who was born in Graften. I am hoping maybe that is where William DEMOSS was born at Grafton. If anyone has any information that would help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
