BAILEY -
I am looking for information on my grandfather, Willie Woodrow Bailey (dob 9/13/1920) of
Rock/Mercer, WV. His parents were Charles Bailey and Mary Bailey and had at least 8
brothers and sisters - Minnie, Alton, Gilbert, Dee, Eulala, George and Jane. Those are the ones
that I know, but I understand from my grandmother that he also had a few older brothers that she
could not remember the names of. Any information about any of these folks would be greatly
appreciated. thank you.

I am looking for information about Jeremiah Coburn. I believe his children were David,
Thomas and Gordon Coburn. David was born 1805, married Ursula ? about 1840. Their children
are Charles, Rebecca, John, Cynthia, Thomas, Henderson, Sarah and James. On June 02, 1854 David
married Catherine Wimmer (b. February 10, 1825. Their children are Cynthia, Jeremiah,
George, Beauregard, and Mary. David died March 12, 1895 in Princeton, WV. I believe this family
is connected to the Caperton family because Ursula's children are listed in the census
records in the Adam Caperton household.

I am looking for any information on Sarah McCallister Stacy/Stacey {b.1859
in Cabell Co., Va.} and her 2 sons; Joe Stacy b. 1892 & Harrison Stacy b. 1895.
Sarah is in Mercer Co. in the 1920 census living with her son Harrison, her age is 63. Joe {25}
is in Mercer Co. Rock District 3rd. Precinct, along with his wife Minnie {23} and son James
{8/12}. In 1930 Harrison & Liddie have children Opal May, ?Hines, and Jay & Mother Nancy age 80.
Joe & Minnie are listed with children: James, Hazel, Helen, Ernest, & Henry. I would appreciate
hearing from anyone that knows anything about this family. This family is the second family of my
gr. gr. grandfatjer George W. Stacy from Martin Co., Ky.

SKEENS, TICKLE -
I'm looking for other descendents of Josiah (sometimes "Joseph) Skeens, Civil War veteran,
b. 1826 in NC, moved to Mercer Co area < 1852. Married Nancy Tickle; had 9 children
(including my g-grandfather, Joseph Matthew Skeens). Would like to share information and
find more on Josiah's father Thomas Skeens. Thanks!

I am trying to find the Joseph Wallace Whitlow family in the Mercer County 1920 Census. In
1900 and 1910 Censuses, they were living and are listed in the East River District. Again in
1930, they are listed in the East River Magisterial District. However, I cannot find them in
1920. I have searched the on-line indexes with no success. Does anyone have any information on
what happened to this family in 1920?

Researching James A. Meadows and his family. I keep getting info that family members died
in Elgood, Mercer, WV but I can't find Elgood on any of the censuses I have access to from
1850-1930. Can anyone tell me what Magesterial District ELGOOD was in? and where was James
Meadows family living in 1910. In 1900 census they were living in East River District. on
1920 census they were living in Plymouth District, Precinct 2, Coeburn.
