FATHER'S OBITUARY: Oracle - March 7 1985 - Died Mar. 2 1985 - Raymond Templeton, 62, of St. Marys, died Saturday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg. - He was born in Ritchie County, a son of the late Pearl and Amanda Hoff Templeton. He was a member of the French Creek Baptist Church, a veteran of World Was II and a retired employee of Colin Anderson Center. - He is survived by his wife, Dortha (Leigh) Templeton; three sons, Raymond Dale Templeton Jr. of the U.S. Marine Corps in Jacksonville, N.C.; William Charles Templeton, also of Jacksonville; and Carl D. Templeton of Arvilla; a daughter, Mrs. Kelly Hill of Parkersburg; five brothers, Guy Templeton of St. Marys, Bill Templeton of Barberton, O., Harold Templeton of Wadsworth, O., Pearl Templeton, Jr. of Brunson, S.C., and Charles of Belmont; two sisters, Bertha Toth of Norton, O., and Ruth Fauss of St. Marys; four grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren. - He was preceded in death by two sons and four brothers. - The funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m.,Tuesday at Ruttencutter Funeral Home in St. Marys with the Rev. Franklin Lambert officiating. - Burial was in the Ingram Ridge Cemetery. - Pleasants Post 79 of the American Legion conducted graveside rites.

MOTHER'S OBITUARY: Dortha Gean Templeton Sallee, 85, of Vincent OH, formerly of St. Mary's WV, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Saturday, January 24, 2015, at her residence. She was born December 22, 1929, in Centerpoint, WV, a daughter of the late Van Buren and Bertha Marie Bollinger Leigh. She attended Cutler Chapel Church in Belpre, OH, where she was church pianist. She retired from the former Colin Anderson Center in St. Marys, WV after 30 years of service. Her hobbies included piano, flowers, reading the Bible, and spending time with her new great grandson, Levi Grant Rittenhouse. She is survived by daughter, Kelley (Jerry) Hill, of Vincent, OH, and a son, William Charles (Diane) Templeton, of Richlands, NC.; grandchildren, Ashley (Jason) Rittenhouse, Chase Hill, who helped care for her in recent months, Joyce (Mike) Harris, Lisa (Rob) Allen, Diana Gean, and David Lee Templeton Jr., Step-children Clayton (Sarah) Sallee, Marvin (Ethel Mae) Sallee, Richard (Doris) Sallee, Paul (Crystal) Sallee, and Melinda Sallee; several Stepgrandchildren, and step great grandchildren; Sister, Patricia Stoll, brothers, Robert "Paul" Leigh, and Cecil Leigh, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to her parents, Dortha was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Dale Templeton, Sr., her second husband, the Rev. Virgil Clayton Sallee, sons, infant Ronald Larry Templeton, David Lee Templeton, Sr., Raymond Dale Templeton, Jr., and Carl D. Templeton; sisters, Rita Russell, Violet Ridenour, Freda Swiger, and brothers, Hebert Leigh, Harry Leigh, Forrest Leigh, Jack Leigh, and Curtis Swiger. Services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at 2 P. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV, with Pastor Arthur Cox officiating. Interment will be in the Wasp Cemetery, near Arvilla, WV. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P. M. Tuesday, and from 1 to 2 P. M. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

BROTHER'S OBITUARY: Raymond Dale Templeton Jr. USMC retired, 54, of Auburm, W.Va., died March 21, 2002, at his residence. - He was born, July 23, 1947, in Barberton, Ohio, a son of Dortha Leigh Templeton Sallee of St. Marys and the late Raymond Dale Templeton Sr. He was a member of the French Creek Baptist Church, 23 years with the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War and receiving various campaign medals. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, the VFW, the Disabled American Veterans, the Vietnam Veterans of America and the Moose Lodge in Clarksburg. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening and collected patriotic memorabilia. - In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Monica Dunigan Templeton; two brothers, Carl D. Templeton of Arvilla, W.Va., and William "Chuck" Templeton of Richlands, N.C.; one sister, Kelly Hill of Veto, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, David Lee Templeton, who died in the Vietnam War; and one infant brother. - Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ruttencutter-Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will be in the Ingram Ridge Cemetery, Ritchie County, with full military graveside rites.
