After Billy died she married Elbert Fowler ROBINSON, Sr. Rosa died around 1956. Rosa had two sisters whom she was very close to: Ella Mae "Ellie" MOSS who married a Mr. Bridges and she died sometime between 1956-1958. She was older than Rosa. The younger sister, Roxie also married a Mr. Bridges. Both of the Bridges fellows were brothers. I don't have any information on Rosa's parents or if there were other siblings. She was married to William Lawson Duncan, who was born in Giles County, Va. 1821 and died in Waiteville 13 July 1905. I am interested in the genealogy of a James ALLEN who acquired 300 acres of land on Turkey Creek in 1787 (then in Greenbrier Co., VA), the part which was cut off to form Monroe Co., VA in 1799. He was listed as a head of household in the 1820 census. I believe that he was a member of the household of his son, Andrew B. ALLEN, in the 1830 census, listed to be age 80-90. I think he died by 1832 in Monroe Co., VA because there is some reference to the "heirs of James Allen" in the real property tax list for 1832. His children included James ALLEN, Jr., Andrew B. Occupation weaver, wife's name, Elizabeth White. They are buried in a cemetery near Willow Bend abour 5 miles south of Union in Monroe Co. They are my gr gr gr gr grandparents. On Elizabeth's tombstone it says "some have children, some have none, here lies the mother of 21." I would dearly love to have a picture of Elizabeth's and William B Rice's tombstone.
