EARLY LOGAN COUNTY TAX LISTS
These tax lists were transcribed by Vicie "Babe" Waskey Fowler in 1975.
"Babe" spent many hours at the Virginia State Archives, Richmond, Virginia
transcribing these records from the original manuscript. Logan County
Virginia (now WV) records were destroyed during the Civil War by fire.
These tax lists are among the few records that survived.
Note: Tax lists for the years 1824 - 1850 are available on microfilm at
the Virginia State Library, Richmond, Virginia.
A deep debt of gratitude is extended to Vicie "Babe" Waskey Fowler for her
willingness to contribute her work to the Logan County Web Page. Special
thanks go to Terry Collins,
who entered this data into computer format.
