CONRAD MOORE'S WILL
In the Name of God, Amen - I Conrad More of Hardy County and State of Virginia
being in ill-(?) State of Health at present and concerning the Uncertainty of Human
Life, and that it is requisite for all persons while thay have the happiness to Enjoy
their Senses and Memory Perfect, to Settle and Dispose of their affaires in such
manner as may prevent disputes or Discencion amongsts their friends or relations.
Therefore to prevent the same as much as possible do think proper to dispose my
Estate in Manner following
Vizt
It is my Desire that all my Just Debts and funeral charges shall be paid after my
Decease as soon as can conveniently be done.
Item
I give all the Remainder of my Estate after my Just Debts and funeral charges are
paid to the children of my three Brothers and three Sisters in equal sixths that is
to say one sixth part to my Brother Phillip More children and one sixth to John
Moore children, and one part to Michael Moore, children and one part to my sister
Marya children formerly of the name of (?Catrand), one part to my sister Margaret's
children and one sixth part to my sister Susanna children if any otherwise to herself.
Item
I De-fine my Grave to be Walled up with stone three feet thick and four feet high
with a tombstone at my head.
Item
It is my will that my Executors sell all my Property Real and Personal to Which I
may have Equitable or Legal Right and make the Distributions as before written.
And Lastly there by nominate and appoint David Welton, Esq. and Christion
Symons, Esqr my whole and sole Executors and I do hereby Revoke and make
void all former wills Declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament in
Witness whereof I have herein to set my hand and seal this twenty-fifth day of
December 1777
